COREMU - Multiprofessional Residency Committee

Updated at 05/21/25 15:17

The COREMU (Multiprofessional Residency Committee) was established with the creation of the multiprofessional health residency program, formalized by Interministerial Ordinance MEC/MS No. 1.077, dated November 12, 2009.

This ordinance regulates the structure and functioning of multiprofessional programs and establishes the need for a committee responsible for their management and quality.

The Multiprofessional Residency Program aims to provide specialization for other health professionals, offering both theoretical and practical deepening in a specific area of expertise. This program complies with the guidelines established by the National Commission of Multiprofessional Residency in Health (CNRMS) and the Multiprofessional Residency Committee (COREMU) of the Federal University of Jataí (UFJ).

According to CNRMS Resolution No. 1, of July 21, 2015, the responsibilities of COREMU include:

  • Coordinating, organizing, articulating, supervising, evaluating, and monitoring all PRAPS (Health Professional Residency Programs) in both uni- and multiprofessional formats at the institution;

  • Monitoring the performance evaluation plan of health professional residents;

  • Defining guidelines, preparing public calls for applications, and conducting the selection process for candidates;

  • Maintaining communication and processing matters with the CNRMS.
